The school was founded by Dr Grossi in 1998 and is affiliated to Wonderland Pre-Primary School, Train-a-Child Teacher Training College and Embury Education and Training Centre. It is located in the heart of the residential suburb of Morningside, Durban. The original school building was the family home of Ernest and Sylvia Akal in the 1940’s. They sold the home to their daughter Edwina, a qualified teacher and founder of the school, for the purpose of education. Wonderland Pre-Primary School was founded in 1972 in the Akal home; Embury College originally occupied a small section of the house. As the school grew, more gracious listed Victorian old homes were bought and renovated and today accommodate a fully-fledged Co-Educational Primary and High School from Grade R-12.
